Volunteer: Help Cats Find Homes
Are you passionate about felines and eager to make a positive impact in their lives? We are always in need of volunteers at Avocato and at our various Petco locations in Farmington Hills, Livonia, Troy, Rochester, Warren, and Ann Arbor! All volunteering is in association with our nonprofit: Pet Adoption Alternative of Warren (PAAW).

We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities to suit your interests, skills, and schedule. Whether you prefer hands-on interaction with cats, assisting with administrative tasks, or lending your expertise in fundraising and outreach, there’s a role for you. Café Host/Hostess
As a Host/Hostess, you'll be the friendly face that welcomes visitors to Avocato Catfé. Your responsibilities include greeting guests, providing information about our cafe and our resident cats, and ensuring that everyone has a purrfect experience.
Food Service
Help provide food service to our visitors, assisting them with grab and go food items and use of our POS system. Maintain food and supplies for visitors that come to our catfe’.
Cat Caregiver
Spend quality time socializing with our resident cats, providing love, attention to keep them happy and healthy. Responsibilities may include feeding, grooming, socializing, and providing enrichment activities for our feline friends.
Adoption Counselors
Help facilitate the adoption process by greeting visitors, answering questions, and assisting with adoption paperwork.
Veterinary
Veterinary volunteers help us maintain the health and well-being of our cats by providing medical care, vaccinations, and general health checks. Veterinary professionals or students with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
Special Event Coordinator
Assist with organizing and promoting special events, fundraisers, and adoption drives to raise awareness and support for our mission.
Administrative Support
Offer your skills in data entry, email correspondence, or other administrative tasks to help keep our operations running smoothly.
Virtual Volunteering Opportunities
If you would like to help our animals in need, we have virtual opportunities available as well! From Application Screening, to writing, social media, event planning and more, we can always use help online for both our catfe and our rescue!
